This heirloom variety of green bean can indeed grow to a yard long, but best picked when 8-12" and pencil thin, usually maturing within 80 days. Best cooked in stir-fry. Direct sow after last frost 1" deep. Thin to 6". Soil inoculant can speed germination which is usually 10-14 days. Less susceptible to beetle damage than traditional beans. Will need strong support.
