Bushy 1 1/2-2 ft. perennial is prized for its large, flat-topped clusters of bright orange to yellow-orange flowers clusters, 2-5 inches across at the top of the flowering stem. These plants are critical for butterflies, and attract many pollinators.  This species has no milky sap, unlike other milkweeds.  Direct sow in the Fall or start indoors (after cold stratification) 4-8 weeks before average date of last frost.
