A member of the mint family, this native sports small purplish blue flowers on branching racemes July through September attracting pollinators galore. Best sown outside in Autumn, covered and initially in somewhat shady location. Germinates 2 weeks to 6 months. Once established tolerates dry, clay soil and will often self-seed.
