Tall Coreopsis can be found in thickets and wookland edges where its yellow flowers are a mini version of the flower Black-eyed Susan. Herbaceous perennial native to eastern US blooms in the summer and is pollinated by butterflies and bees. This plant received its common name because of the seed’s likeness to ticks.
Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost or direct sow in the fall. Requires cold, moist stratification to germinate. Germinate in 10-15 days.
