One of the long green beans, this one boasts reddish pods that can grow up to a yard long but generally harvested when pencil-thin and about a foot long. 
Plant 1/2-1" deep after danger of frost. Soaking overnight and using soil inoculant can speed germination. Thin to 6 inches apart. Requires sturdy support.
