As the name implies, this species is native to Africa but can be grown as an annual in this region. It has tall spires with small lavender to white trumpet-shaped flowers in late summer to fall. Start inside 6-8 weeks before, or outside after last frost, planting 1/8" deep. Keep moist. Germinates in 7-20 days.
