Honeynut is a winter squash cultivar bred from butternut and buttercup squash. A professor from Cornell and a chef from NY collaborated to create this smaller hybrid optimized for flavor. It grows on a self-fertile vine and takes approximately 105 days to mature turning from green to honey-colored as it does so. Direct sow after danger of frost.
