Wild lupine is a native perennial in the bean family, which fixes nitrogen in the soil. It produces showy spikes of blue flowers in the spring, and may die down in the heat of summer. Prefers acidic, sandy soil and full sun to partial shade. May be short-lived.
Start indoors after scarification followed by 10 days of cold, moist stratification.
